I have had my Gerber Ridge for a little over a month. I carry it in my pocket every day. As a female, the pockets on my jeans are often tiny so I did not think I would be able to comfortably carry a pocket knife. BUT, I never notice this one hanging out in my little front pocket until I need it and it is right there! I haven't used it that much as to dull it in just a month so I haven't yet experienced how well it keeps it's edge over prolonged use. However, a friend of mine (who swears by his Gerber Ridge and recommended it to me) has had his for a while and he is very happy with the sharpness and durability of the blade and the entire knife in general.
In short, it is nice and sharp, incredibly lightweight, a great size, and I am pleased with my purchase.
