I bought the Gerber PR 3.0 while looking for a replacement for my lost Gerber EZ Out that I carried for about 15 years. While not quite what I was looking for (I also bought Gerber 22-07162 Fast Draw Spring Assisted Opening Stainless Steel Fine Edge Knife), this one was so nice that it ended up in my cart. Amazon carries it for somewhat less than I paid for it in a big box store, but it was still worth it. Here are my observations:Pros:
+ Looks great, the two-tone rubberized grip is very cool
+ Blade is VERY sharp and looks to be high quality steel
+ Comfortable grip provides safer handling of open knife
+ Sturdy pocket clip
+ Locking blade is very secure
Cons:
- Very hard to open one handed
- Sharp edge on bottom of thumb nub\stud catches on clothing, this is the only surprising thing about this knife
Overall this is a very good looking knife with good ergonomics and a great blade, it is only hampered by the two minor issues listed above.
