The Gerber Silver Trident is the perfect knife for the collector and the fighter. The fact that is has a double-edged blade with the looks of a regular spear point makes it particularly attractive for the owner - it is an understatement of sorts. The finish is superb. Knowing this knife is made in the USA and NOT in China restores trust in the quality of this product. The feel of the handle is such that you don't want to put it away again... it feels real good (to the enthusiast that is :-). Weight, balance and texture are all perfect. The sheath seems to be specifically designed for this knife (not your run-of-the-mill one shape fits all type). The price reflects the quality and design... I guess.
