When I first saw this knife I really liked the profile and blade geometry of the knife. After reading several reviews I decided to spend the $20 on what would hopefully turn out to be a "good" small camping and batoning knife. After buying the knife I now have mixed feelings about it.The handle shape does not fit my large hands very well, and the knife was extremely dull out of the package.I own over 200 knifes, several of them Gerber, but this if by far the dullest knife I have ever bought. I may just take it to a grinder and modify it to fit my hands. If I could just remove part of the arc on the butt of the knife so that my pinkie finger would fit, and sharpen the blade it may become suitable for my needs.Unlike the other reviewers here, my sheath actually fits well, and does not let the knife slide at all.The sheath is suitable for a $20 knife.Overall the materials the knife itself is made of seem very good, and I like the idea of being able to remove the scales. The packaging says "surgical steel", but who knows what the ratio of nickel/chrome/molybdenum is.The titanium nitride coating seems fine, but I will see how long it lasts once I start batoning kindling. For a person with smaller hands, this knife could have many uses. For my large hands it just does not fit well.
