This is an excellent knife, but you should be careful opening it.When it arrived here it was in a plastic clamshell case that needed to be cut open with scissors.I did this standing in the middle of the kitchen; I recommend you do it over the counter and I'll explain why.
Upon opening the packaging the knife fell free, hit the floor, bounced, and embedded itself in my right leg.I was very surprised.
Several weeks later I'm left with a small scar and an amusing story, but -- like I said, be careful opening it.
It is an outstanding knife, and works very well for cutting fish in addition to stabbing yourself in the leg with.I highly recommend it, except for the stabbing bit.
