I have always been a buck, kershaw and gerber knife guy. I love their products, they are sharp and well built. I have about 10 knives overall from these 3 manufacturers. This is BY FAR the best knife i have ever owned. the price is not bad, it is a good sized blade, doesn't weight anything because of the composite handle (which has the BEST grip and feel that i have ever felt)
It is a SHARP blade, i can shave with it, if it came down to it. It is also very thick, which is great if you are rough with your knives. I use this day to day for all kinds of things, sawing, cutting, chopping etc. I havent had any damages to it, and it still looks great. It hasnt even lost its factory edge yet.
I bought this knife because Bear from the survival show mentioned it and said that it was one of his favorite knives. I know why now. It is a great knife.
If you are looking for a great knife that you can someday pass down to your kids, get it. Its that well built. (not to mention the lifetime warranty and lifetime sharpening from gerber)
